Check out this progress! Wow! Second weekend in a row and the barn is spotless. It is a major transformation. The nieces and nephew all worked tirelessly to get the bottom of the barn cleared out. They were so cute stacking the stones and taking wheelbarrow loads out. They are braver than I!
Anne, Becca, and I kept getting stuck in the mud as we cleared out the pond's edge behind the barn. The wild thorn bushes are terrible. As we were trudging through our boots kept getting stuck. I now know why they put the handy pull up handles on muck boots! To pull yourself out of the muck….literally. Meanwhile, as we were compiling huge thorn piles, the guys (Roger, Rocky, Matt, Eric, and Pete) were working tirelessly to finish cleaning out the barn, pull down the old siding, and ripping off the old blue tarp. Matt power washed last weekend…the barn looks awesome! Okay, enough words. Take a look!
I *hate* particle board…and blue tarp!
Eric, where's your pitchfork?
Matt…a little to the left. No, keep twisting. Up a little. Twist harder. You almost have it.
"Thanks for the detailed instructions, Brey."
Aww! The barn looks stressed. Next step…?
Such a fun time! Looks great!! Seeing my husband and my brother hanging off the edge of the barn makes me a little nervous- glad I missed that part! :)
