Fall Decor

Greetings!  Wanted to share a few pictures of the property and show off my cornstalks, pumpkins, and mums.  It's the perfect added cheer as we are working hard around here.  Thanks Mom!

My Style

Check out what Roger has been up to during those late nights. Aren't these gorgeous?!?!? Totally my style and will be stunning once installed. For those who haven't seen all of the INCREDIBLE furniture he has made for me, this is totally "Brey Style"!!' The first piece he ever built me was made from black walnut and spanish cedar. Ever since then, I have been obsessed with the natural dark/light combo. These pieces resemble my favored style, but are built out of mansonia and mahogany woods. And yes, that is definitely me sitting inside of the cabinet. I was testing out how accessible it will be. Call me a "trouble shooter/problem solver" !!!
I am a lucky girl!!!

Pine Trees by the Pond

Here are some pictures of the pine trees by the pond. I took these pictures from the front yard overlooking the front steps towards the Old Pond as the sun is setting. Thank you Uncle Chip for all of your support and happy thoughts!! These are for you!!! :)

Chipping Away

No... He is not golfing but instead chipping at the old plaster to redo the stone walls. :) This tool is amazing in that it just takes all of the old chunks of plaster to expose the original stone walls. Roge sure has his work cut out for him!!

Sweet Memory

Look at what we noticed on the exterior barn wall in the barnyard. I hope the pictures show that it says Anne 1961 (Roger's aunt :) )How amazing is that?! This definitely makes me smile!!!

Baseball in the Barnyard

A perfect way to end the weekend...good old fashioned baseball in the barnyard with a stock and tennis ball. We enjoyed the sunset as the kids played (until Stacy hit a home run!!). I love the way the children just embrace this place. What an incredible way to grow up! We took a hike, ate sloppy joes, and explored the barn. I'm so glad that Stacy brought Danny and Jackson over to check it out. Reilly was the perfect tour guide!! What a wonderful end to a productive weekend. :)

Barn work

We are still working on one of my favorite buildings..the barn. We planted a few red woods on the side barn yard.
They should cluster and grow together. Additionally, check out the side yard !!!! Isn't the barn just gorgeous ?!? There were ugly ugly poison vines growing that we hacked off so they would die. We also found a neat old foundation in the side yard. We know it is the remains of an old farm hand's house. Torn down in the mid 1900's. this is a neat little bit of history.

We also have been storing gorgeous pieces in the top of the barn (pictured below). There's my sink again that will be placed back in the main house kitchen.

Fall afternoons Saturday

Saturday was a beautiful fall day at hearthstone. The sunshine spots were warm and cozy against the chilly fall air. Alex brought Izzy over. She had a blast collecting falling leaves with the net, blowing bubbles, and bug collecting. BeccA brought Reilly over and we sorted barn debris and took loads with the backhoe. Reilly kept me company as we used the backhoe to separate metal and wood from the barn yard. We also flew her kite that she made in school for a nice work break. Later, we had an impromptu football game in the back yard on my gorgeous green grass I proudly grew :) with Eric , his boys, and his dad.

Holly Trees

Here are some pictures of my holly trees finally growing again!! How pretty!!!

It is so fun to see all of the foliage changing with fall coming!!

Ohhh and a few more of my pretty purple bulbs that are randomly sprouting up in the side garden :) looove these !!

Check out this gorgeous flower on the side gardens (and a few other pics I took tonight) ! Things have been so crazy at school this fall that I have had no time for posting but had to share this. I promise I will post all the incredible main house photos that the guys have been working on. :)
